Guess the XFree86 guys will reply to you anyway (I am not a speaker for them),
but you should get in contact with xfree86@XFree86.org immediately, in
order to avoid reinventing wheels, if you want to do some port.

The new XFree86-3.1 will be out soon, these are the only patches you need
on the plain X11R6 (the MIT public patches are already in there then),
so you should wait a bit and not try to get an outdated version
(XFree86-2.* or X11R5).
