I'm not much of a unix expert, and I need some help. I've installed
FreeBSD 1.1 on my pc, but can't seem to access my modem.

When the bus is probed during bootup, sio0 and sio1 are detected (type 16450).

However, I can't seem to find either of these special files in the /dev
directory.

Should I expect to see them there?

From my limited understanding, it seems like I should see at least one
of these files there, and then be able to do something like
set line /dev/sio0
from Kermit.

I'm using a Hayes Smartmodem 2400. It's internal.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.
