Currently, I am using a Diamond SpeedStar with 1MB (et4000 based).
X386 1.2E 1.0.[12] and the stock X386 server has been able to
work with my card. I am writing a driver for the Diamond Stealth
(S3 based, chipset 911). I swap my card for the Stealth so I didno't
have to pay the full price for the card which runs around $245.
Why the S3 based card, VRAM memory and built-in graphics functions
such as bitblt and access to the 1MB of memory in the cpu via
16 bit. Later on the year the 928 will come out and another
friendly visit to my dealer so I may have full 32 bit data access
to my system and upto 3 times better performance than my Stealth.
Of course the 928 will be installed in a local bus system capable
of upto 100MB per second data transfer rate.

Hope this helps,
Amancio
