Well, folks if you do want Doom at this point the only way to get them to 
even let us to do the port is to blitz ID with e-mail.

For release information on Doom and the state of ports to other
platforms, "finger help@idsoftware.com".

To pester ID for a *BSD port, "american@idsoftware.com".
