Just to allay confusion, I'd like to point out one or two things:
- Support for bounce buffers is included in FreeBSD from version 1.1.5
  onwards.  That means, it already is out there and available in an
  official release.  (It is obviously also part of 2.x.)
- The unified VM/buffer cache code is still under development, and will
  only be available in FreeBSD 2.x
