I am having a problem with eight bit cards as well. I keep getting
receiver ring buffer overrun errors. The cards have been in 386sx-20's and
a 486dx-33. All had the same problem. I tried the same hardware with
FreeBSD and there was no problem.
Can anyone who works on NetBSD give me any clues? Why does it work with
one but not the other?
