Hi everyone.
This is about FreeBSD 1.5.1.1, after moving /usr to a different
hard drive.
I posted a message about this a while ago but since I
didn't get any reply, I'm trying again. The problem is that there
is something wrong with my terminal setup. As an example, here's what
happens when I use ex:
(command: ex /etc/rc)
(after issuing the command, I just press enter a few times to display
the lines of the file one at a time)
# $Id: rc,v 1.27 1994/06/06 17:45:37 phk Exp $
# $Id: rc,v 1.27 1994/06/06 17:45:37 phk Exp $

# and the console is the controlling terminal.

you will notice how every line is doubled. Also, when I enter a q
to quit ex, the screen sort of clears then looks just like before
I ran ex (except for the prompt where the command to start it is
printed (where I typed it)). The screen also clears as ex starts.
Now this screen clearing business only happnes when I do it in an
xterm, but the lien doubling is still there when I do it in, well,
'text mode'.
There are some other times when the problem occurs, but these are the
most common effects. (in an xterm, the screen clearing also sometimes
happend after a 'man' command, and alqays after a 'man -k').

Please reply through email, I think there are some problems with
our news server.

Regards,
	Markus
