AOS 4.3 is a pure BSD 4.3 port for the RT. There was also a 4.2 port.

That is a real easy answer... The group, of which I was part, was a part of ACIS.
The group was in Palo Alto, CA. In 1989 they were split from ACIS and assigned to
AWD in Austin, TX. On Dec. 31, 1989 all _official_ support for AOS 4.3 ended. There were
a few contracters that continued to support AOS 4.3 until sometime in 90 or 91.

The bottom line is that there is no IBM support for AOS 4.3. IBM is still using it internaly. But even
IBM is dumping the last of its RTs for bargin prices. I was able to get two of them in the last few months...

It said that because someone changed the default login prompt.

The tech refs are still available....

Also if he has AOS on the machine he should have the source code for the OS....
