YES --  Anonymous ftp from research.att.com:/netlib/f2c/*  -- YES.

This compiler (well, fortran to c translator and supporting libraries) is
EXCELLENT.  We have used it in our initial porting of several large image
processing systems to 386BSD-0.1.  It has also been the basis of previous
ports of the same packages to Apple's AUX version of UNIX.

I also think there is some poetic justice in using an AT&T Research Group
product to enhance our AT&T source code free 'Berkeley UNIX' installation.
