Hi,

I tried to build ports/lang/franz lisp under FreeBSD 1.1.5.1R.
It seems to have problems with the exec format (a.out format?).
I can build franz/i386/rawlisp; that is after linking with -z instead
of linking with -Z. The 386BSD ZMAGIC is not acceptable whereas the
NetBSD 0.9 ZMAGIC is. With -Z the rawlisp quits on a bus error.
However that doesn't work either: After dumping the snlisp
/usr/bin/file tells me that snlisp is a demand paged executable but
nevertheless snlisp is not executable! At least not on my system.

So my question goes. Does anyone have succeeded in building franz
lisp under FreeBSD? If so could you please tell me how you did it?
Thanks in advance!

-Arnulf
