Summary: -probeonly returns inaccurate clock values
Keywords: XFree86 Dell WD90C31 clocks

Okay, I've been tearing my hair out over this for weeks...

I have a Dell 486P/66 with an on-board Western Digital 90C31 video
chipset. Unfortunately, I have no listing for the appropriate clock
values to use in Xconfig and the -probeonly option returns wildly
inaccurate values.

I've already called Dell about this, asking for the clock values as
they have implemented them... but as soon as they heard I was setting
up UNIX, they wanted US$90/h to help me. The question was about their
hardware, not about UNIX! They, however, didn't see things this way.

So, has anyone managed to get accurate clock values for one of these
beasts? If so, I would appreciate it greatly if someone could let me
know how/where I can acquire this information.

Thanks,
Jody
