Is there a way to turn off synchronous writes of meta data in *BSD?

In NetBSD-current and NetBSD 1.0, there is an `async' option to
mount(8) that will do that. i.e.:

mount -o async /dev/... /mnt

You can change an existing mount, too:

mount -u -o async /

I don't recommend this, but the option is there if you want it.
