Doesn't work for me at least:

wd0: cannot find label (Disk has no Fdisk partitions)
wd1: cannot find label (Disk has no Fdisk partitions)
wd0: cannot find label (Disk has no Fdisk partitions)

panic: cannot mount root

wd0 and wd1 are both disklabeled; there is a MSDOG partition 
on wd1 which I have never managed to mount under FreeBSD.

Commendable effort, Julian... but no dice this time.
