Hi

I'm trying to set up a FreeBSD 1.0e system as a SLIP server. I have an
/etc/hosts containing

Sfoo	`hostname`	foo	255.255.255.224
^^^ |
SLIP account ^^^
                                   my server machine's netmask

And a /etc/slip.login.foo containing
ifconfig sl0 196.6.19.69 196.6.19.70 netmask 255.255.255.224 broadcast
196.7.19.255

My /etc/passwd runs /usr/sbin/sliplogin when Sfoo logs in. However,
whenever I log in, I get the message:

access denied - no login file

and in /var/log/messages:

cybernet -sliplogin[procnum]: access denied for Sfoo - no
/etc/slip.login

I've also tried this with a /etc/slip.login file, same errors occur.

Can anyone help me out by pointing out what I've done wrong?

Thanks,
Peter
