Hi:

Has anyone gotten X386 up on 386BSD with a Mouseman serial mouse? I have
tried both a busmouse and the Mouseman with no luck. With the Mouseman
I get *VERY SPORATIC* mouse behavour and the keyboard locks up tight.

I managed to find a PD Logitech Busmouse driver (for sysV I think). Being
quite new to *REAL* kernel development, is there any documentation available
for adding device drivers? I'll also be happy to give the PD code to anyone
else who requests it (Maybe we should put it on agate?).

I have also noticed a very strange problem with 387 chips and 386BSD. I have
a 387-33 (ULSI-stock) in my 386-33. If I install the chip and boot 386BSD,
it does come up (npx0 interface also "appears" in the boot). However, if I
try to compile say the kernel, the system halts (no warnings, 3fingers, etc...)
It seems that much (if any) load hangs the system. The system will remain up
for days with no load (i.e. idle over the weekend). If I remove the 387
from the motherboard and boot 386BSD, the problem goes away (as does the
npx0 interface on boot).

I have tried compiling the assembly math lib, (without the 387), rebuilding the
kernel with no change in behavour when using the 387.

My configuration:

386-33 (clone with Award BIOS)
387-33 (ULSI -- not currently installed to to above problem)
8Mg ram
240 Mb Quantom IDE
2S/1p
CompuAdd HiRez (Et4000) with 1Mg
Running 386BSD 0.1 with wd.c patches (2disks, warmboot)
			com.cgd
			mathlib (latest assembly version posted)

Any help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Doug
