Okay, I am at wits end.  How the *hell* does one get the ft driver to 
work properly???!!  I have tried everything, tar, dump to about 6 
different BRAND NEW tapes of varying brand names!  I have spent approx 2 
hours a piece reformatting them but still no luck!  No matter what, ft 
always complains about a "unrecoverable write eror" and then the tape 
just spins forever..ft cannot be killed either.

What gives??  I am using a Colorado Jumbo 250 btw.
