You need to recompile your kernel with the correct values for your
ethernet card configured in.  Do a ``man config'' to figure out how to
run config.  If you still need help, check the various FAQ's.  Since
you're running FreeBSD, you'll probably want to look on
freebsd.cdrom.com.  The general BSD FAQ is posted regularly in
comp.os.386bsd.announce.
