I have just installed FreeBSD and need a driver for an MS bus
mouse. Also is anyone working on a driver for SB16 with its
   propietary CD ROM interface?

Check the FAQ - there's some comments about how to deal with a bus
mouse there.. I am currently working on an SB16 driver and hope to
have it in FreeBSD 2.0!
