I have a need to have two printers connected to one queue. The idea
is that the next job in the queue is placed on the first printer
that's free. So there will be two jobs active while there's a
queue.

Any ideas?

I'm running SunOS 4.1.3 which uses the BSD lpd daemon from about BSD 4.2.
