Hi,
Well I've been up-and-running for a week now, and here are my (possibly
dumb) questions/observations:

1)	To add encrypted password protection we need to get crypt from
uunet:bsd-sources/lib/libc/gen/crypt.c
How do we do that?? Is there an internet address?? I've not seen this before.

2)	Someone said earlier that some changes need to be made to mtools for it
to run under 386bsd 0.1. What are they??

3)	What config file do I need to compile screen3.2??

4)	What is the name of the file(s) of the compiled kerenel that supports
wd1?? Where is it??

5)	How can I disklabel a 3.5in floppy? I tried
disklabel -r -w fd0 floppy
and it replied with
disklabel: ioctl DIOCSDINFO: device not configured
ioctl DIOCWLABEL: device not configured
Does the new kernel fix this??

6)	How big is src01 when uncompressed??

7)	Can I extract a single directory from cpio format??
eg /usr/src/bin/df

8)	Can the src01.* files be converted to compressed tar so that they can
be extracted straight from the floppies using 0.0's mr command?? The reason
being that I only have 2 40MB drives. I realize that I won't be able to
recompile the kernel, but with some juggling I may be able to recompile some
of the tools.

9)	When I run df I get
filesystem	512-blks	used	avail	capacity	mounted on
/dev/wd0a 11271 6897 3246 68% /
/dev/wd0h 49781 45485 -683 102% /usr
                                         ^^^^ ^^^^
The size of my partitions (from disklabel/disktab) are:
/dev/wd0a	12240	4.2BSD
/dev/wd0b	16405	swap
/dev/wd0c	82620	unused
/dev/wd0h	53975	4.2BSD

Any Ideas/comments??
I can still write to the disk without disk full errors, but I get them
eventually (I tried it just to see what happened :-))

10)	My hard disks are both Maxtor 7040 AT's. Do they really only only have
5 heads as reported by CMOS, or am I not using a side of a platter??

Any suggestions/comments will be much appreciated.

Colin
