greetings all,

While trying to install FreeBSD I got through the installation
process up to the point of no return, where it actually
does the disk label.

At this point i get the message (repeatedly):

sd0(aha0:0:0): timed out
adapter not taking commands.. frozen?!
Debugger("aha1542") called
...

I've successfully installed a number of of {386,net}bsd
but this is my first experience with scsi...

BTW - Adaptec 1542,
340MG external scsi. 1360 cylanders
486/33 16MG???
AMI BIOS.

I've tried the faq but to no avail... I'd appreciate any
pointers to the possible problem.

Thanks in advance..
