Subject: Upgrading to 1.1.5.1-RELEASE

I've been trying to upgrade my 1.1(Beta) system to 1.1.5.1-RELEASE without
success. Damned machine reboots itself during 'make world'. (Incendentally,
the same thing occurs during make world on 1.1) Looks like it might be a
hardware problem. Interestingly enough, it never does this EXCEPT during
a make world on /usr/src. Hmmm.

Of course, I'd like to fix the problem, but it'll probably take a lot of time,
since it usually does it 4-6 hours into the make. :(

In the interim, I'd still like to upgrade to 1.1.5.1. Is it possible to do so
with a binary-only distribution? I *don't* want to lose any of my
configuration, so a complete re-install is pretty much out of the question.
(I'll do it if I have to, but I really really would rather avoid it.)

Here's another interesting thing I noticed... I tried to compile JUST the
/usr/src/sys stuff. After doing config EVEREST, make depend, and make all,
it craps out with a message: "Don't know how to build config.o" or maybe it
was control.o, I can't remember, and the system is unreachable right now.
(It's at home, I'm at work, and it's probably rebooted itself to DOS. :(

So my second question is: Is there any known problems compiling a 1.1.5.1
kernel on a 1.1 beta machine?
