It is an odd beast, but does have some very nice features:

For printers, it uses something very much like /etc/printcap on BSD
systems (except AIX calls it /etc/qconfig).  I find lpd/lpr easier to
configure and use than lpsched/lp.

As for as ps goes, AIX supports system V options (ps -ef) and
BSD options ("ps aux") -- depending on whether you use the '-' or not.
This seems like a wonderful solution.  Does {Free,Net}BSD do this?  Can it?
