you did not say which OS you are running and which release. Assuming you
are talking 386bsd 0.1 or an early FreeBSD, then ftp the accounting file and
instruction from plains.NoDak.edu (134.129.111.64) in the file
pub/386BSD/acct.shar. The GNU accounting utilities (sa, acct, etc) can be gotten
also from plains.

I would suggest you get FreeBSD 1.1.5 which has the accounting files and has
many added other features. Then all you will have to do is uncomment the
"accton" line from the /etc/rc file.
