I managed to get Xconfig to accept everything except my mouse. I have a microsoft PS/2 mouse. The PS/2 board is built into my moterboard, Thanks Gateway. I tried the line: PS/2 /dev/psm0 This returned a "device not configured" error. Is there anyway t oget this to work? Sorry if the answer is really obvious this is my first Unix installation. FWIW the rest of my system looks a little like this 486 dx2 50 8Meg ram Phoenix bios (can't remember the ver. number) ATI oem board, came with mach32 dos/windows drivers so that's what I put in Xconfig w/ 1Meg ram Crystal Scan 15" mon. 1280X1024 LMSI cm-205 CD-ROM (haven't even tried to get going) 2 WD caviar ide VLB drives. One 540 and one 405. free BSD is on second partition (~405 Mb of the 540 drive) thanks, Dan
