Hey all!. I was running Linux on my 486/50 for some time.
Things were going well for me. BUt then I switched to FreeBSD1.1.5.1R
THINGS are going well BUt I need a Lot of help here.
1) In Linux I had to use a program called 'freq' which I had down loaded
and compiled. THis program use to reset my clock speed on the
viedo card which allowed me to run X at 1024by768.
I have X running but is running at 640by480. Can any one point me as
to where I can get the src/Bin for 'freq' to reset my clock or give me
guidlines as to how can I get 1024by786 running. BTW for window manager
I am using olvwm.
2) where can I get the stuff for olvwm. Things like the color Term.
the prefs, and other stuff. Bin or Src will do.
3) Now the best of all the problems. Ok on the consoles I have my term
set as at386 and I like it this way. My problem only arises when I
connect to the Net at school. I am connecting to a sparc 10 running
SunOS 4.1.3. when I set term on the school machine to at386 it seems as
if it is not in the termcap( Rather I know it is not). So I cut the
stuff form the BSD termcap and put it in a file in my account. So well
it works fine for me, TILL I try running vi (Yes I like vi) at that point
vi runs in "[Using open mode]" and I dont like it. so How do I solve this
problem.
I would really appreciate it if you could e-mail me your answers
Thanks a lot.(Yeah I would prefer if you could post and e-mail em)
Thanks in Advance.
Boman
