Clarence:

I assume you are talking about XFree86 3.0, that is bundled with X11R6?
That one is buggy, and for developers only.  You have to wait until
XFree86 3.1 is released for X11R6, if you're using Xfree86.  The best
stable version to use with FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 is XFree86 2.1.1, and it's
very nice, but still based on X11R5.  The real next release version's
gonna be 3.1.
