hi,

i have a bunch of 1/2" tapes (9-track) which were "dump"'d
from an 11/70. i'd like to transfer them to 8mm, but restore
doesn't recognize the format. i believe this is because
the 11/70 was running the BSD 2.8 filesystem, and the inode
(and maybe directory) information was different.

if anyone has dealt with this problem before can you:

1) give me further info/advice
2) provide/point to a program for restoring 2.8 filesystems?

thanks for any help you can provide,
ed
