Has anyone successfully used the NE2100 on FreeBSD 1.1? I
see references to it in some of the kernel source code, but
I can't figure out how to specify it in my kernel config.

The ed0 driver doesn't recognize it. It supposedly only
works with the NE1000 and NE2000. This is an ISA card,
BTW.

Also, I'm having several problems with my Genoa ISA
video card, 1 meg ram, cirrus clgd5426 chipset.

This is under XFree86-2.1 and the same problem persists
under XF-2.1.1.

It's a rather weird problem: I start a 1024x768 mode, and
it starts up properly, but within seconds of any activity
on the screen, it will lock up my machine. I hard reset
to restart, and when it comes back up, I run xinit again,
but it fails because XF86_SVGA declares that I only have
512k ram on the board. I tried exchanging the card, but
the problem persists. If there's no easy explanation for this,
I'd be inclined to think it's my crappy Award bios. (yea,
i know, it sucks, but it was cheap.)

Anyhow, any assistance would be appreciated.

Please reply email.

Thanks.
-Chris
