I had the sound running great under 1.1R, using my SoundBlaster 16.
Catting to /dev/audio worked fine, and running tracker on
audio/music/mod gave very pleasant tunes. When I upgraded to current, I
kept the /dev/audio, but the tracker tunes started showing commutation
by silent periods, one per beat. My SoundBlaster uses IRQ 2 (9), and the
sound driver says that IRQ 2 doesn't even exist. It does, it's standard.
I found the spot in the code that says it, in sb16_dsp.c, function
set_irq_hw(), but I can't find a good enough source of programming info
to be able to divine the fix. If anyone has the SoundBlaster 16 making
music under FreeBSD 1.1.5.1, let me know, ok?
