My New DEC pc arived yesterday with a serious problem. The S3-928 PCI
card, orriginally ordered, was substituted with an S3-864 PCI card. I
talked to the reps at digital, and they say the S3-864 is a better card. They
also claim %100 compatibility with a S3-928. Any one know if this card is
compatible with XFree86 or know of nondisclosure agreements preventing
XFree development with this card?

They discribed some of the performance charactoristics of the card, and
it sounds like a better card, but they are happy to replace it if
needed. I think the substitution happened durring the year end crunch
at digital.

I have seen DEC employees/owners posting this group. Your posting could make
a DEC customer very happy.
