Well, I just installed freeBSD last weekend, and didn't see anything like
that. I did have a question though, about mounting dos partitions.

I found a file called mount_pcfs, which I assume means mount pc file
system. When I run it, I get a "no disk label" error. 'man disklabel'
gives me all sorts of info about the format of the lable, and tells me it
gets written to cylinder 0, which scares me to death. I also need to
somehow supply hardware info about the drive. I can do that with my
second IDE drive, but as far as I know my 3 scsi drives are absolute
addressing block devices. At least no utility I have will give me the
number of heads, cylinders, etc.

Could someone explain how to mount a dos FAT drive (both ide and scsi)
under freeBSD, or at least point me at a walk-through? I DO have the CD,
so maybe just haven't found it.

I followed the directions in one of the readme files for mounting the cd,
and that worked fine.
