I'm having trouble getting a Exabyte 8200 to work under FreeBSD 1.1.5
it is connected to a adaptec 1740 card along with the hard drive and
a cdrom.the hard drive has FreeBSD on it.is it nessarry to use a different
controller card from the hard drive controller? the tape drive works
fine under OS/2.i get an error when i try to dump to the tape drive
i get this:

st0: bad request, must be between 512 and 1024 and somtimes this:
(sd0) timed out AGAIN on and on scrolling down the screen

today i recompiled the kernal with scsi debugging and when i do a :

scsi -f /dev/rst1 -i i get:

ioctl: Inappropriate ioctl for device

any help would be appreciated
Thanks
