	You would probably have better luck compiling it for netbsd
instead as that is a much closer (near identical) environment.  I have
patches to the makefile for freebsd and have submitted them to the term
maintainer but they are pretty trivial copies of the netbsd defines.
	The only addition is a #define USE_HERROR in config.h which also
I believe applies to NetBSD.  It should be sufficient to just do a 
./config netbsd -root; make ; and get a working system.  Mail me if you
want the freebsd patches or have further problems.
