other than kermit, is there any character mode communications program
that runs under freebsd? i'd like vt100 emulation, a scroll back buffer
that i can cut and paste from, and zmodem autodownload. precompiled for
freebsd would be nice, sources set up for freebsd would also be ok.

There's Seyon, which is a package for FreeBSD on ftp.cdrom.com:. It
needs to be installed suid root, or you have to mung the locking
directories so they're world writable. It requires X.

I have patches that make it work properly (someone also fixed kermit
for this recently, I remember), but I haven't rolled them out because
I'm always running several versions of the operating system behind,
and am nnever sure they're current.

If you don't want to use X, there's something called pcomm, though I
never got it running yet (no need).
