I think that this might be because of the bad timing of inserting
kcopy diskette. I remember that I made the similar mistake.
I was in haste and pulled out filesys diskette before it was sync'ing,
and inserted kcopy. Then it was sync'ing kcopy diskette and corrupted
the kcopy diskette.
If you follow the instructions strictly, you shouldn't have any such
problem, but it could have been better to print out the warning message
on the screen, such as "Don't pull out the filesys diskette now !"

BTW, why don't you install FreeBSD 1.15R instead of 1.1R ?
This is a very nice system, probably the best system I've ever had.
As someone said here, FreeBSD 1.1R must be the god of any free unices
around (maybe that it why they named it FreeBSD 8-) 8-) ).
Installation was a breeze from the beginning to the end
(I even did not need to configure sendmail.cf, mail just worked right
away ! 8-) ). Performance was excellent - on 386/25 (no cache, 8M mem),
I was opening 3 xterms, 2 compiling jobs, pkg_add session, ftp session,
some other interactive session, all together without feeling any delay....

I really want to donate some money (just a small amount (since I am only
a poor grad student who has a wife and two kids) to express that I thank
the FreeBSD core team.
Could someone tell me how to do it ?

BTW, some questions about the 1.15R
1) Why does sys part of the source distribution contain *.o files,
which increases the size almost twice ?
2) Where is the source for the secrdist ?

Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.
