If 1.1.5 will be finished before July 1, is there a difference if
it is distributed via cdrom, tape, diskettes or lets say ftp?

Yes. You release it via ftp and you can just stop, produce 4000 CD's
and you're stuck with the damn things! CD's aren't free, you know.
