I have a menuing program written in perl that uses the cterm perl
library extension to do the curses stuff.  It allows you to use the
arrow keys to drive a highlight bar up and down or use numbers to
select an item.  The menus are defined by olwm style menu files.
Documentation is a bit scant but it is pretty simple to set up.  Send
me some mail if you want a copy.

BTW I also did an olwm to tvtwm menu translator that runs on the fly
so you can have users using either olwm/tvtwm and only maintain one
file...
