Hi,

I've got a little problem with our 'amd' setup.

Question : How does one specify an empty 'pref' field ?

Background:

We have a machine 'hosta' where amd gives the users their home-directories
under /home/<username>. On hostb, which has a different disk setup, the same
users should be able to find their hosta-homedirs under
/import/hosta/home/<username> . I use the maps shown below. When I now
access /import/hosta/home/joe from hostb, amd apparently tries to
look up the key 'hosta/home/joe' in amd.home.hosta, ignoring all
pref:= statements (and also pref:="" or the like).
What it should do, is to use 'joe' only, i.e. I should be able to specify
an empty 'pref' field for hosta/home . How do I do this ?

I was using amd 5.2.2.2 with and without inofficial patch 75.

amd.import map (for hostb)

 hosta        type:=auto;fs:=amd.import;pref:=hosta/
 hosta/users  type:=nfs;rfs:=/users;rhost:=hosta
 hosta/home   type:=auto;pref:=;fs:=amd.home.hosta

amd.home.hosta map (for hosta & hostb)

 joe      -sublink:=${key} \
           host==hosta;type:=link;fs:=/users \
           host!=hosta;type:=nfs;rhost:=hosta;rfs:=/users
 fred     -sublink:=${key} \
           host==hostc;type:=link;fs:=/users2 \
           host!=hostc;type:=nfs;rhost:=hostc;rfs:=/users2
