I have found playing with a number of machines, that anything
over 12 megs memory will cause the system to fail in various
ways. I compiled the complete source tree with 8 and 12
megs memory and it would always crash with 16 megs. This
	is on various 33mhz 386's and 486's using different/no
ethernet cards and either IDE or SCSI drives. The only
common factor was 16 megs memory.
I believe Bill mentioned early on there was a bug in the
	kernel for hi memory systems.
