Thanks to Jordan Hubbard. I posted asking why postgres was not running
for me (FreeBSD-1.1R) As I got down the packages-1.1 copy.

It turns out I got it from the main uk site for this software (mentioned as a
mirror site on freebsd.cdrom.com) and it appears to me
that it has incorrect labels, but I might be wrong.

I refer to my experience of trying to get postgres from there.

I tried packages-1.1, and it seems that this actually contains a different
file to the one on freebsd in the (supposedly - i guess)
equivalent packages-1.1 subdir !

Am I right ?
