Hello,

	I have a Toshiba 1950CS notebook with a 486Dx2-40 and 8 Megs RAM.

Attempts to boot current releases of NetBSD or FreeBSD from
floppy cause the message: "Read error. [beep]," followed by freeze-up.
NetBSD-0.8 boots okay, and so do 386bsd-0.1, Linux, and NEXTSTEP. The
NetBSD-0.9 documentation suggests that this sort of problem should not
occur.

	Any advice?

Norm
