   Hello.

   You did'nt mention, on what OS and Version you're going on.

   BTW:   I've  a very similar error with ISC UNIX 4.0 and the  driver
   for  3,5"  floppies  (not for the 5,25" ones).   Here,  the  driver
   writes for ever on an unformatted disk.
