Well if we can trust that statement, and if we assume that the Jolitzi
are perfectly capable of posting a usenet news article, I see only one
reason for silence -- that we're generating the best kind of publicity
that they can hope for and will consequently experience sufficient
curio sales of this disk to make it worth their while. The corollary
of this is that what's actually on the CDROM is not worth talking
about, and if they did talk about it they would probably sell fewer of
them than if they let us whip ourselves into a frenzy of interest and
puerile fantasy about this thing. Even if we assume that Bill Jolitz
is the finest BSD programmer to ever live, you can still safely assume
that his complete divorce from the vibrant development community that
has sprung up around this operating system has put him in a position
where he cannot possibly compete with the kind of quality work that's
already being done in both the NetBSD and FreeBSD camps. Consequently
if you're looking for the latest and greatest 386BSD release, it's
*not* a possibility that you'll find it in a shrink wrap at Egghead
with Bill's name on it.

I imagine that as soon as this fucking thing ships someone here will
snatch up a copy and tell us all about it. Til then "please remain
calm; the situation is under control." Go back to the real work you
were doing and EDIT YOUR KILLFILE.
