That's just what I want -- details. I tried calling the # in Dr. Dobb's
and the salesdroid didn't seem to understand what I wanted.

I was a little bit perturbed when I wrote the above... In any case,
what I mean to be asking is whether the new code in 386BSD is
proprietary. Please don't whine about my whining (:-) but I would
really like to know. If it is, then I'm still upset, but
commercialization is allowed by the BSD copyright so they have every
right to do so. (I just feel that something that started out free
should stay free, and its support should be commercial. We have BSDI
for true commercialware, but 386BSD was started as a not un-altruistic
venture whereas BSDI was intended to be a commercial venture.) If it
isn't proprietary, I want to know so I can be happy about that and the
code exchange that will happen between {386,Net,Free}BSD.

BTW, I know that the CD also includes tons of other stuff, including
commentaries on the code and articles from DDJ. I could do without
those (after all, they're probably copyrighted and non-redistributable);
I just want to be able to see (and ftp) the cool new things that were
promised for 386BSD 1.0.

TTFN, and I hope y'all appreciate my trimming of the newsgroups list...
