Hmmm..  I failed to see how I missed the point here. I err 
in that I misread previous Linux postings claiming that 
they could boot from a CDROM. And as stated in a previous postings
the magic of booting from a CDROM or from *any* scsi device is in 
the host adapter BIOS being able to read the bootsector from 
the drive. 

BTW: I have a toshiba cdrom drive and have installed *bsd numerous
times and I can really appreciate the ability to boot straight
from a CDROM and not have to do deal with floppies.
