I'm in the process of being connected to the Internet,
and in that time I've consdiered replacing buying a chaep ($2k) router
with a bsd box running gated/screend. Several questions come to mind:

1) Does it work, reliably? Has anyone else successfully setup gated/screend
on a box (either one) and had it work?

2) HOw would I connect a csu/dsu (from the T1) to the bsd box, I know
this would be done via v.35 card (?) but does bsd recognize this?

3) If indeed it does work, what is the bottlenehck and can it handle it?

4) What would be the minimum configuration for this system.

5) Would it be able to handle PPP/SLIP/CSLIP dialins from a boca-16.

An E-mail and post response would probably be best because I know of
more than one person who wonderrs about this, and I dont have all that
time to read the group so I might miss the article.

Thanks!!!
