Hello all.

We have a DELL 386/25 with NetBSD 0.9 running at the office and wanted
to add a couple 14.4K modems to it for dial in access.

We are having some major problems with the connection quality though.
Trying to send a file through it will yield a lot of errors, and poor->no
thoughput. We don't know for sure if it's bad lines or modem
configuration problems.

The modems are ATI 14400 ETC-I (internals, with the 550 FIFO), and we
are running them at 38.4K with the getty. (Only one modem in the machine
at this time).

It would be much apreciated if somebody could send a copy of any
configuration information you have for a simular setup (modem settings,
getty settings, etc).

Also, are there any known problems? Is it a problem with a bad serial
driver or choice of modems or something?

Thanks.

PS. I keep up with this newsgroup, but would like it if replies could
also be send direct to my mailbox.
