Release 2.0 (I think) will be 4.4lite based and will have all of the features of our VM system plus 4.4lite. I think that we are thinking about kernel update snapshots, but I am not really in the release loop. Sorry if I did not answer the question the way you wanted, but a lot of the things that we have been doing are fairly aggressive and I think that it is best to put out a reliable system as opposed to a packaged version of -current :-). BTW, I think that we have added the ability to boot on a > 16MB system given an ISA SCSI bus-mastering adaptor. John dyson@implode.root.com
