I seem to be running out of room on my FreeBSD system. So I was thinking
of getting an Optical drive.

Do any FreeBSD users have Optical drives?
What kind of controllers and size drives do you use?
What is the performance? Do writes and reads take the same amount of time?
Is it only good for backing up the system, or fast enough to run FreeBSD right
off the Optical disk?

Thanks.
